The LMI4VET project officially launched with its kick-off meeting, marking the start of an exciting journey to transform vocational education and training (VET) across Europe. Partners from various countries came together virtually to align on the project’s objectives, structure, and immediate priorities. While LAG Arbeit in Hessen e.V. from Frankfurt am Main, Germany, could not attend, the German partner IWAK will follow up to confirm their involvement and ensure their contributions align with the project goals.

The meeting began with a warm welcome from the project coordinator, followed by introductions of the participating teams. Each country presented its partnership, consisting of a knowledge partner and a social partner, showcasing the diverse expertise and commitment within the consortium. These presentations highlighted the collective strength of the team and set the tone for effective collaboration.

The coordinator then provided an overview of the LMI4VET project, detailing its context, objectives, work plan, timeline, and budget. This comprehensive introduction outlined the project’s mission to align VET curricula with labour market needs and empower vulnerable populations through innovative training solutions. The presentation materials will be shared with all partners via the project’s dedicated platform, ensuring continued access and transparency.

After a short break, the focus shifted to project management. Key topics included the Quality Plan, administrative processes, and financial guidelines, laying the groundwork for smooth coordination. Dissemination strategies were also discussed, with partners reviewing the dissemination plan, toolkit, and management approach to maximize the project’s visibility and impact.

The meeting concluded with a review of the most pressing tasks. The initial activity of Work Package 2 (WP2) was organized, with plans for follow-up discussions between the responsible organization and the project coordinators. The door remains open for other partners to contribute to this critical phase. Additionally, urgent aspects of the dissemination strategy were addressed, ensuring alignment on the project’s outreach efforts.
